Acts 12:11

Acts 12:11 - Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord sent His angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating.”

This is an amazing story of God’s protection. Peter was in jail and the next day did not look good for him. Many Christians were being put to death and it was likely he would be next. Then God intervened.
That night while everyone in the prison was sleeping Peter was awakened by an angel. His chains fell off and the angel led him past the guards and out of the prison. When the reached the street outside the prison the angel left him and he stood alone. That was when he realized that he wasn't dreaming and he had been freed from prison.
Peter had convinced himself that he must be dreaming or seeing a vision. It wouldn't have been the first time God had spoke to him while sleeping. Finally Peter came to terms with reality and saw that God was answering his prayers through a miracle.
I think the same type of thing often happens to us. We are going through life praying for a miracle; but we don’t actually expect it to happen. Then, when it does happen we try to explain it away as some kind coincidence and don’t acknowledge it for what it is. It is time to start believing in miracles again.
The bible tells us that things such as miracles will follow those who believe and we can also rest assured that God wants to do miracles in our lives. If you believe you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Start believing.
