2 Corinthians 10:5

2 Corinthians 10:5 – We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ.

How’s your thought life? What goes on in your head on a regular basis? We have to realize that our primary battle is in our minds. Christ already came. He defeated the enemy. Through Him we have victory in all things and He has given us abundant life. It’s all there, waiting for us to receive it through faith.
If we get our thought life in order our lives will be transformed.  “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,” we are told in Romans, “but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” When thoughts come into our heads that are not uplifting and glorifying to God we must follow the direction of this verse. We must “demolish arguments and every pretension.”
The Word of God is the key to renewing our minds. We must take captive every thought and control what we allow our minds to dwell on. God’s Word is our weapon against the world. Fill your mind with His Words and there won’t be room for any that are contrary.
Any time a thought of doubt or unbelief or anything else contrary to God comes into your mind take hold of it. It says take it captive. Don’t dwell on it, but change it to make it obedient to Christ. In other words make the thought line up with scripture.  There is no room for those kinds of thoughts in our minds. If left unchecked they grow inside you and really become a problem.
So dwell on the scripture and when a thought comes into your head make sure it lines up with the Word of God. When you do this you will see your life begin to change.
