Acts 13:38-39

Acts 13:38-39 - Therefore, my brothers. I want to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.

Everything we have is through Jesus. Without Him we have nothing. There was the law that God gave Moses. It was meant to justify as it showed us sin, but because we could not obey we were condemned. The law was supposed to bring life, but it only brought death. But thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What we were powerless to do, Jesus did. He came to earth; He lived a life according to the law. Instead of condemning Him the law proved Him to be perfect. Being perfect, He took sin our sin upon HImself and paid the penalty. Jesus gave up all He had for the joy of being with us. He took all our sin, shame and disgrace and went to the cross. If that was the end it would make for a tragic story, but our victory lies with what Jesus did next. He did go to the cross and was buried, but then God raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand.
Through death and resurrection Jesus conquered sin and the grave and bridged the gap between heaven and earth. He gave us the Way to reach the Father. Now we have forgiveness of sins. It’s already done, all we have to do is receive it. And through Christ we are also justified. Where the law of Moses brought death, Christ brings life and that more abundantly. If you have sinned, go to God and receive your forgiveness.
