1 Corinthians 3:7

1 Corinthians 3:7 - So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

We all have a job to do for God. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples.” Wherever we go and whatever we are doing we should be making a positive difference in the lives of those around us. Whether we are planting a seed or watering one that has already been sown doesn't matter, as long as we are doing something.
It is imperative that we always keep an eternal perspective. Beyond that we must understand that it is only with God that our actions make any difference at all. Without Him everything we do would be futile.
Be careful not to let pride creep into your mind thinking ‘I did this’ or ‘I did that,’ thinking that you are able to do anything worthwhile on your own. God is the one who works in men’s hearts to change and mold them. He is also the one who gives you the seed to sow and the water to pour. If we did not have God in our lives we would not have anything of value to give. It is only through Him we are able to make a difference.
So, as Jesus commanded, always walk in Love towards others and live your life to make a difference, but keep it all in perspective. It does not matter whether you are someone of importance in the eyes of the world or a nobody. All that matters is God. He is the only one who can change men’s hearts and save them from their sins.
