1 Corinthians 1:25

1 Corinthians 1:25 - For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

It is only when we are weak that we can find God’s strength. We spend most of our time trying to be the best; we want to be the smartest, the fastest, the strongest. Whatever it is we want to be better than the competition.
I’m not saying that it is wrong to try and succeed. It should be our goal to do our best at whatever we do, and we should be doing it to win. The problem comes when we begin relying on our own strength and ability to live. That is what is natural, but you will never reach your full potential in your own ability. It is only when you surrender to God and rely on Him that you will truly excel.
Look at how this verse puts it. God, when He is at His most foolish moment (as if He ever had one), is still wiser than you at your wisest. In the same way, when He is at His weakest He is still stronger than you at your strongest point. There is no comparison. We cannot compete with God. Luckily we do not have to.
If we surrender to Him all we are, then His strength and wisdom will become evident in our lives. Stop trying to act in your own ability. You have things you are good at, but God gave you those things. Imagine if you let Him take them to their full potential. Let Him take control and lead you to make your weaknesses, strengths and to make your strengths even stronger.
