Matthew 9:22

Matthew 9:22 - Jesus turned and saw her, “Take heart, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that moment.

There are people crowding in all around Jesus. It’s noisy. Everybody is looking at Jesus to do something for them. They've heard all the stories and now they want Him to fulfill their needs. There is yelling and shouting; it seems like chaos, but this woman had a plan.

She heard the stories too, but with her, it was different. This woman had been sick for many years. She had exhausted all her money and resources on doctors who had promised to help her, yet they had failed.

Many years had gone by and she had probably begun to lose hope. Then she heard about Jesus. She didn't know much, but she had heard about His power to make the sick person well. As she heard more stories she knew this was her chance. Jesus became her hope for a better tomorrow.

She knew that Jesus power radiated from Him and all she had to do was touch His garment, that’s all it would take, and then she would be healed. So as the crowd moved through the town she found Him at the center. She pressed in, squeezing between people that would have been disgusted if she knew who she was.

Finally she got close enough and reached out and she touched Jesus cloak. That was all it took and her life was changed forever. She was healed.

There were so many people touching Jesus, but she received her miracle without speaking a word. Everyone else came to Jesus wanting Him to do something for them, but this woman came expecting. She came expecting a miracle and because of her faith she received it.

When you come to Jesus, come expecting. Don’t come looking for Him to do something; know that He has already done it.
