Matthew 6:33

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

There are so many things that we could seek after in this life. Society tells us that fortune and fame are what we want. If we are popular in the eyes of the world we will be doing good.

Then others may say it’s about getting a good education. If you have a good education you will be able to get a good job and be successful. Still others tell us that it is about finding true love. If you find your ‘soul-mate’ and you both love each other, that is all you really need.

None of these things are wrong in and of themselves, but when it becomes your primary focus, it becomes wrong. God wants your focus on Him. He created you and gives you all you need to live the life He called you to. It is when we lose sight of Him that the problems around us start affecting us.

Jesus tells us, “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you as well.” Now I don’t know what your life has in store; what the future holds for you. But one thing I do know: Jesus words are truth. If you put the kingdom of God and seeking after His righteousness as the number one priority in your life you will not have to worry about anything.

Cast your worry about the future on Him. Let God take care of it. All you need to do is serve Him and live for Him. Once you do that everything else will fall into place.
